The Vision For The Future
Under the spiritual guidance of His Holiness Hazur Tarlochan Darshan Das. Today's
youth plays a significant role in Das Dharam.
His Holiness believes that a child's early years are the most important years of a child's development. What they learn, acquire and perceive at this stage will reflect later in their life. His Holiness aims to embed within these young minds the spiritual teachings of Das Dharam. So that when they go out into the world. These children can make a positive contribution to society by becoming good role models. His Holiness very much believes in the motto of "Today's children are tomorrow's future". For this very reason, His Holiness invests a lot of his time and energy organizing activities for the young. To focus the energy of youth on worth while activities in order to promote better understanding amongst people of different faiths and beliefs.
Das Academy For Youth (D.A.Y.) is a registered social organization. Which has been established to encourage the youth of today's by His Holiness to develop, Spiritually, Emotionally, Morally and Socially. D.A.Y. is an outlet from which children can express their creative abilities.
The following is a list of activities which D.A.Y. organises and runs.
Regularly organizing Blood Donation Camps.
Arranging dowry less inter-caste marriages.
Running free educational centres.
Running free medical mobile Dispensaries in rural areas.
Providing assistance to victims of natural disasters e.g. Orissa cyclone and Gujrat earthquake.
To develop and encourage sports at all levels in society through regular Sports Tournaments and sporting activities.
Peace Rallies.
Drama work shops, to raise awareness e.g. Kargil plays were organised by D.A.Y. (India) to raise awareness of war and conflict.
Shelter for the aged.
Since Das Academy For Youth has been established, theatre plays and cultural shows have been actively organised to nurture the talent of the youth. This is to encourage social and cultural skills and to build confidence in the children. For these children are the citizens o tomorrow's world.
